修立鹏表示，发生月食必在“望”，此时的月相为满月，一般出现在农历十四至十七中的某一天。半影月食发生时，月球看起来与满月无异，仅是亮度降低使月球变得稍暗一些，肉眼不易分辨差异，但以摄影方式就能看出变化。虽然半影月食的观赏性远不如月偏食和月全食，但这次半影月食却有些不一般，因为月球几乎全部进入地球半影，这意味着虽然没有接触地球本影，但也距离本影很近了，这样的半影月食还是相对容易用肉眼察觉的。</span></section><section
