style="line-height:2em;font-size:17px;">五云楼高15.8米，是武当山现存最高的木结构建筑。整体全木结构，未使用一砖一石。每一层都匠心独具，五云楼所处的位置正是一个斜坡，如果开挖山体或填平斜坡，都会违抗永乐皇帝不开山取材的旨意。于是当时的工匠想出了“一柱十二梁”的解决办法。</span></p><p style="line-height:2em;font-size:17px;">所谓“一柱十二梁”，就是在五云楼的一根主体立柱上，支撑了十二根横梁。也就是说，在一根主体立柱上，有十二根梁枋穿凿在上，交叉叠搁，计算周密。这一纯建筑学上的构架，是古代木结构建筑的杰作，历来受到人们的高度赞誉，因而也成了太子坡里的一大奇观。以至于忘了五云楼的原来称谓，把整座楼都叫作了“一柱十二梁”。</span></p><p style="line-height:2em;font-size:17px;">“一柱十二梁”是古建筑木作中典型的“减柱造”格局，其特点是为了节约用材，扩大空间。Z-1分别与Z-2、Z-3、Z-4、Z-5四根柱子之间皆用三道梁相接，梁上立童柱，柱上架檩从而顺利完成转角屋面的完美结合。通过十二道梁的连接，也使Z-1所承屋面荷载均匀传递与Z-2、Z-3、Z-4、Z-5之上，使得该结构从力学角度上达到完美统一。</span></p><section
